Our Rapid Response Approach to Storm Damage
In the hours and days following a storm, acting quickly is critical. Exposed decking, breached membranes, and damaged flashing can allow water to rapidly infiltrate your home, compounding repair costs and creating secondary problems like mold, rot, and insulation damage. That's why Don Kennedy Roofing is available 24/7 for emergency and same-day appointments, because we understand that storm damage doesn't wait for business hours.
When we arrive, our crew conducts a thorough inspection of your entire roof, not just the areas of obvious damage. Storms rarely limit their impact to a single spot, and our team is trained to identify subtle signs of compromise that an untrained eye might miss. From there, we provide a clear, honest assessment of the damage and a straightforward plan to restore your roof's integrity, always with a free estimate so you can move forward with confidence. If your damage is extensive, we'll walk you through your repair and replacement options side by side so you can make the best decision for your property and your budget.

“Don Kennedy's roofing inspector advised us of the work to correct the roof and flashing.”Glen M.
The workers did a great job.
"My home's builder used the roof of our screened back porch as a landing for a ladder to finish above the porch leaving small holes in several shingles. In addition, the flashing around a roof area and the fireplace chimney had been installed incorrectly. Don Kennedy roofing inspector (several years experience) advised us of the work to correct the roof and flashing. The workers did a great job."- Glen M. -

“They just installed the copper chimney cap this morning. I told the installer it almost looks like a work of art.”Larry S.
We are VERY pleased with the Don Kennedy company.
"- Larry S.We are VERY pleased with the Don Kennedy company. Their estimate was not the least expensive way to replace the roof, but their work and product are first class. They just installed the copper chimney cap this morning. I told the installer it almost looks like a work of art.
Coupled with the quality of new roof and the overall experience with the company, plus the roof comes with a 25-year transferable guarantee, I give them an A plus reference/review.

If you want great people, doing great work then give Don Kennedy a call.
"From the beginning of my search for high quality roof work, I dreaded the numerous estimates and salesmen that I would be forced to endure. Fortunately, early in the process I called Don Kennedy. Ethan was personable, informative, knowledgeable and honest. He made my wife and I feel comfortable trusting our home to his team. They were actually able to start the roof install a day early and cleaned up so well, that you would have never known they were even there. If you are looking for cheap roof replacement then maybe these aren't your guys, but if you want great people, doing great work then give Don Kennedy a call."- Charles F.
Common Post-Storm Issues We Can Solve
Nashville's storms can inflict a wide range of damage depending on the type and severity of the weather event.
Our experienced crews are equipped to address every issue a storm might leave behind, including:
- Hail damage. Hail impacts bruise and crack roofing materials, compromising their ability to shed water effectively. This damage may not be immediately visible, but it significantly shortens your roof's lifespan if left unaddressed.
- Wind damage. High winds can lift, curl, and tear away shingles, leaving the underlayment and decking exposed to the elements and vulnerable to water intrusion.
- Fallen debris damage. Branches, limbs, and other wind-driven debris can puncture roofing membranes, crack tiles, and damage flashing, creating immediate entry points for moisture.
- Ice dam damage. Freezing and thawing cycles allow ice to back up under roofing materials, forcing water beneath the surface and causing damage to decking, insulation, and interior ceilings.
- Flashing displacement. The force of severe storms frequently loosens or displaces flashing around chimneys, skylights, and vents, breaking the watertight seals that protect these vulnerable transition points.
- Gutter damage. Heavy rain, hail, and debris frequently bend, crack, and detach gutters, disrupting drainage and allowing water to pool against your roofline and foundation.
Whatever a storm has thrown at your roof, Don Kennedy Roofing has the experience and the resources to put things right.
Early action after a storm can protect your home and your wallet. Reach out to Don Kennedy Roofing at (615) 267-3129 to request emergency assistance!
